But there is an obvious replacement waiting to be approached.

    Dare I say it?

Not sure who you're referring to, unless someone's been sacked which I've missed.

If Johnson were to go before Christmas (and I don't think he will, but anyway, for the sake of speculation.....) I guess the shortlist would be:

Steve Evans - very unlucky to be sacked at Rotherham, but no thanks as he's a complete lovely person
Stuart Gray - I'd be happy with that
Gerry Taggart - has done well in coaching roles so far, might fancy a crack at management
There are probably a few others who I've overlooked. I'm assuming Hiddink, Rodgers and Cappello wouldn't be on the list.

Personally, Hecky and Burton would be my choice - though my main reservation about them is that it would be a risk to pull them out of the academy where they're clearly doing so well. If things then went pear shaped with the first team and we decided to replace them, then they'd be out of the club presumably. Not sure we can really afford that.

Lets all sail on the Jolly Roger!

Is Mr Daley's partner called Rodger?

Yep. Not a likeable bloke by any stretch of the imagination but he would get us back in the Championship.

He's definitely a capable manager. However, he would split the fanbase from the very start. Much more so than Bassett did. More than Hill. I'm not sure that's a good footing on which to start.

No manager guarantees success who's to say if Evans came he would want time to bring in his own players in. To play his football. In that time if things wasn't going right you and others would be on his back. If it comes to it Burton and hecky have been at the club for years know the players and the setup ect ect they would be the sensible appointment. Imo anyway.

I don't see how any woman could support us with him in charge or how our female physio could continue her employment
