I said through circumstances that I had just started watching the Reds again. This after myself and the wife travelling all over to watch them away. You see how the other half live. I have watched Shrewsbury, Blackpool, Gillingham, Doncaster, and this week Crewe.. I think I have seen enough to say we play a boring passing game with a flooded mid field. I think our Back four are decent. The goalkeeper is some times indecisive on making a decision and it costs us, he is also too slow in getting the ball out for a breakaway. The tactics with Winnall up front on his own is poor. Our players do not get up to support fast enough. Harris is decent but his crosses and shots are poor. Watkins is mediocre considering the amount of ball he gets , we have better than him. Hourihane, his distribution is carp and he takes corners and theses are poor. Too far ,too short or straight to goalie. His tackling is poor. He needs changing to a one half player. Like Watkins LJ , what can you say. He talks the talk, but does not back it up. I think his tactical talks would be tedious and it shows in the football he produces. Those little bas@&@@ds at school were always awkward. This team is going nowhere, neither up nor down. We are a middle of the league team and until something is altered with the tactics or trying the bench more it will stay that way. I have seen this before at Barnsley, and nothing changes only faces and names. Supported them 60 years from a lad. Will be retreating back to armchair, not worth the cost. Hope things pick up for the diehards
Whilst I agree in principle, I cannot agree with the criticism of Hourihane and Watkins, who for me are our 2 most consistent players this season. I do agree with your general point though. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Cannot fault your summary. We have good players but we have a a manger who talks a good game but cannot deliver. We cannot let him take the club further down.
