Our current manager takes the pi55 every week in his post match interview.

I felt like that, until last weekend at Donny. And after yesterday, I've definitely shaken off that meh feeling. This is when I relish watching and supporting my club, through the tough times, it's how I've been brought up, when the chips are down etc. I get a bit of a kick out of us conceding late goals, and reading endless whingeing on here. It gives me summat to rally behind or rail against.

I too didn't want Danny Wilson sacked. I actually shed a tear that day, pretty much. Devastated me. I believe we'd have improved given time under him, his career backed that up. But hey ho. I then suggested Steve Davis as his replacement. I certainly didn't even consider Johnson, there was nothing on his CV that would have led me to do so. But he got it, he seems a likeable lad and we're doing no worse or better than we were prior to his arrival. Because it's early days. I believe he deserves a proper crack at it. He certainly deserves a full season.

    Other opinions are out there.

Edit - Stu Gray was Wednesday manager in February, mate.

Swindon away was the end for Wilson.

His formations, tactics, and team instructions that day make yesterday's efforts seem like a promotion-esque performance.

I know things went bad but I genuinely believe he was close to turning things around and had he not been sacked we'd have finished about the same place as we did. I still think we'd have been a real force this season with Danny in charge.

We'll never know mate, and I didn't want him to be sacked as such but the Swindon game made it completely understandable. There was nothing in that game to suggest he on the verge of turning it around.

For such an experienced manager, who knows the fans as well as he does, I'll never be able to explain that day. Very bizarre.
