We spent all the 60s/70s in the bottom 2 divisions?

    What is your point?

We have a similar history to Grimsby Town, who are now in the Conference.

And a far superior history to Bournemouth who are now in the Premier League.
    What's the point?

Bournemouth's Russian owner pumped in £25mil to get them to the Premier League. In a similar way Jack Walker spent his millions on Blackburn all those years ago. We don't have a multi millionaire owner who can risk his personal fortune on any push to the promised land. I don't blame him, I wouldn't either.
The point is, we are where we are. We're lucky we haven't gone in the direction of Grimsby, but we're now a Div 3 team. No longer seen as a relegated Championship side looking to bounce back.
