Cars are killing machines, and it seems that you need to have a serious incident before you can truly appreciate that.

It's lucky nobody else was killed in this incident.

A car going the wrong way on the M1 yesterday morning put an extra 1.5 hours on my journey into Derby.

Should be about 1hour 30 minutes.......it took me just over 3 hours

That really wasn't the point that he was making. The post was about poor driving costing lives and more often than not it is poor driving that causes the delays that seem to be affecting almost every journey as well as claiming the lives of people.

Are cars killing machines, or, just like guns, is it the human in control that is the real killer?

Cars are Killing machines , you can easily kill someone with out doing anything wrong

Guns are different , you have the intention of killing : hurting someone

They are dangerous admittedly, but killing machine is over egging it. A pushbike could kill someone.
