This feels a bit like when your ex starts seeing someone you don't like. I was more hurt when he joined Sheff U though. Now only needs Rotherham to complete the set. Whore.

    Great appointment.

Nearly 12 months after he was sacked for being 3 points above the relegation zone, playing quite boring football with a team of young players & relying far too much on Conor Hourihane & Sam Winnall we're 3 points above the relegation zone, playing boring football with a team of young players relying on Conor & Sam.

With the added point that it was Danny who signed Winnall & Hourihane.
Not comfortable with him managing the Pikeys at all. Just doesn't seem right at all.....:-(

Agent Wilson on his next assignment. Mission accomplished if he takes them down, plan b just to keep them in L1, under no circumstances can the plan allow them to be promoted. I'm sure he'll succeed with his mission.

    I hadn't hear that.

I was upset when he went to Wednesday (obviously) and a little bit when he went to the Blunts but to be honest I'm not bothered now. I just don't care what he does....

He should still be Barnsley manager. If he was I reckon we would be sat comfortably within the top 6 right now. Our key players were all signed by Wilson and he was slowly addressing our other areas of weakness and yes I agree we were dreadful for the most part last season but I reckon this season would have been a lot better. Everyone preaches patience and I think the board blew our biggest chance yet to show some genuine patience and let Wilson build a team.

When you look at his record it's a fantastic appointment for the Pikeys.
Wherever he has gone he's had success

Barnsley - 6th in his first season in Championship, promoted to Premier League in 1996/97
Sheffield Wednesday - Took them from relegation certs to finishing 12th in Premier League (OK they were relegated season after)
MK Dons - staved off relegation in his first season after looking certs before he joined them
Bristol City - Took them into play offs for Chamionship place, Won League Trophy
Hartlepools - got them promoted from League 2 to league 1 - no mean feat
Swindon - Saved them from relegation and then took them into League 1 play offs final
Sheffield United - Lost on penalties to Huddersfield in 2010/11 play off final which they really ought to have won.

He's also been the League Managers Association Manager of the Year so i don't get all the negativity.

Good luck to him. Be interesting to see how he does there. Presumably, if he takes them up - then he could have done the same for us and we might have an end to this seemingly never ending argument of whether we did right to get rid.
