Aye, didn't somebody on here term it 'equidistant' or summat?

    Clever basterds.

Got Barnsley relegated from the prem and then jumped ship to go to the local rivals.

Got Wednesday relegated from the prem and had a Sheffield MP calling for his head after an 8-0 drubbing at Newcastle.

Got appointed by Bristol in 2000 with the aim of promotion. Got sacked in 2004 with Bristol still in the same division.

Would of got MK Dons relegated in his 1st season if Wrexham didn't get -10. Relegated them the year after.

Got Hartlepool relegated in his 1st season.

Led Swindon to relegation the season after reaching the play-off final.

Failed to get Sheff Utd promoted despite being 4 points clear with 3 games to go. Didn't even challenge for the automatics the season after.

Got Barnsley relegated from the championship. Leading the club towards League 2 near the end of his spell with insulting performances and dreadful tactics.

You don't know where the negativity comes from....really???

Adrian Durham said ages ago something like "All Danny Wilson does is drive round Yorkshire waiting for the next vacancy, gets the sack and sets off looking for the next one", he's not too far off with that.

Apart from absolutely nothing Adrian Durham says should ever be listened to, ever.

    Wish him well.
Donny will be a stable league 1 club for a couple of years now.

I just hope he is at donny when they come oakwell and he sets them up like he used to do us last season. For almost every away game he set us up for a draw. Not the man to get donny promoted if that's their ambition

Bristol, Swindon, Hartlepool, Milton Keynes, all traditional Yorkshire towns.

I'm still far from convinced that it was his doing. We have had far too many managers set up not to lose for it to not be coincidental. Especially over the last few years

    In my opinion of course.

I of course will now be gutted as that's now 2 Yorkshire clubs I will now have to look out for. 2 legends and all that. Glad we can finally go back to hating leeds full whack thouhh

All the best to him, it appears that he's living off past glories but unlike most of the pretenders we see today he has had glories. Jackets with arm patches and jumpers over shirts don't make a good manager, results do. Danny has had more success than any of our subsequent managers.

Good luck to him. Harshly treated second time around here. To sort out the crock of s**t he inherited needed patience from those who ended up panicking. I hope we give LJ the time now.

The highlights as you put them certainly read as a quality C.V. However, other than us and Hartlepool he hasn't taken another team up in his career. He took Hartlepool down before that.

Bfc (first spell) and Bristol are the only two clubs not to sack him, with Bristol just not renewing his contract. Very harsh sacking by Sheff Utd tho.

So, realistically Danny will keep you in the division you currently are in, but is highly unlikely to deliver you anything you could categorise as success.

A hero to Barnsley fans, but a division one Sam Alladyce to others??

    I see you're a glass half-empty kind of guy.
The Barnsley relegation from Prem was entirely expected and the fact we got there in the first place was nothing short of a miracle.
We were more or less down from Championship when he took over.
Hartlepools in Div 1 is similar to Barnsley in Prem - they're normally in bottom half of 4th Division so no surprise they didn't survive but getting them up was unbelievable.
Swindon would have been relegated in first place but he saved them and gave them a good run the following season.
Sheff United not going up was down to Ched Evans Fiasco and missing penalties. Hardly his fault.

If you look at both sets of stats then his record in his first season at a club is better than most (Over 40% win rate) but if he gets the team promoted there's a fair chance they'll come straight back down.
So for the Pikeys - he'd be a good signing.
