If Lee Jay departs then so should the guys who appointed him. Our selection policy is a laughing stock!
Can't say I follow Swindon that closely, but isn't this a case of all his best players being sold, but the board expecting similar results to last season?
We wanted him before we got Lee. Given what Cryne said I don't think Johnson would go, but I think the temptation would be to make the swap.
Hard job that. Lost 3/4ers of the team due to loanees leaving & star players been sold & expected to challenge again
He pulled Swindon up from the brink of the abyss and has showed himself with all his clubs to be a manager who can identify talent, develop it and create a balanced team who play for each other. Swindon owe him a lot, when you think that he dragged players like Luongo, Gladwin, Byrne etc from anonymity and made them into exciting prospects now showing their talents at a higher level. With all those players stripped out of the club in the summer, Cooper seems to have been expected to start again from scratch, rather than buy in replacements for the huge talents he had developed and then lost. I am not surprised that they are having a struggle this season, but Swindon have made a mistake, because Cooper, on his record, would have turned it round there. The Swindon board need to take some responsibility for their poor form as well. Where's the money gone, chaps? Cooper will come back to embarrass them at another club.
Perhaps it is time to get the old Leeds connection going again. Cooper is the son of Terry Cooper so we could get Mark in and then some of his Dad's old mates in to help. If any are still alive
He did, yes, because he has showed he can do it. Danny needed more time, because he has showed he can do it. LJ....err....
