Speculation speculation........rumour gossip hearsay.......call it what you want.....yesterday i was talking to a good friend of mine who not only is a good customer/ business associate of one of our sponsors but also one of their very close friends.

Anyway as usual when we meet we always open with a comment about the state of affairs at oakwell and yesterday was no different

From what i was told, johnsons on borrowed time, arguments are taking place behind the scenes, the club is basically in melt down due to the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing....fall outs galore in the corridors of power certain people with too much power and input which is causing more problems than its worth lots of things happening.....unfortunately Rome is burring....whilst we speak

Theres more than one sponsor complaining and demanding action

As Mark Robins said to me when he first took over...... theres better run conference clubs, than this outfit.........unfortunately it appears nothings changed

whilst i cant name names and yes i can be accused of malicious gossip, i dont think for one minute my friend is lying hes no need to, and i have no proof other than his word which i trust ....only time will tell......
i know early this week a similar thread took place.....and the messenger got slated.....strange that ive heard similar so i will take the same abuse no doubt on the chin....the last thing i want to do/ be is be the merchant of doom.

Sorry if this comes across as scare mongering

    It's hardly surprising.

When you're getting arseholed by the likes of Shrewsbury, Doncaster and Southend (and we should have lost at Blackpool, too) then I'd be more worried if the people who can affect change were blasé about the whole thing.

Changes afoot soon. The inevitable is obviously going to happen. Probably after the Fleetwood game next weekend.

I can understand sponsors not being happy because they want to be associated with success but this idea that the BFC organisation is in chaos is hard to believe, its not as if its a monolith of a company, theres only 4 or 5 people who have a say in things, Cryne , Mansford, Johnson possibly Maurice and biscuit Barry might put their two penneth in . Its not difficult to work out where the chain of command is if you are the Manager/Coach, Mansford to Cryne unless Barry is holding the Jaffas to ransom who else is there.

Just my opinion, but I find this difficult to believe. Why would Robins have left Rotherham for us if we're run worse than Conference clubs? How many conference clubs have churned out a John Stones or Mason Holgate? How many have been to an FA Cup semi-final?

There's nothing like football for over-reaction and exaggeration to all things good and bad.

Perhaps because he didn't know that at the time?

They are not going to say in the interview, "we really want you to come to Barnsley Mark but be warned, we run the club in a shambolic way. Biscuit?"

Not going to have a go at you for posting this. I very much doubt that you have made it up, but I'm sure you can understand that the majority of us will take it with a pinch of salt.

Only thing I will say is that it was rare a week would pass without us hearing from Ben Mansford, but I can't remember the last time I heard his voice. Probably nothing in that at all and just me adding relevance to something where there is none.

I've also noticed that.. But I just think he's probably sick to death of having everything he says just thrown straight back in his face...

Well best thing is to sack Johnson and leave those above him to carry on as before.

you took the words from my fingertips, I have been wondering why we haven't heard from Ben while we have been on this terrible run of poor form and awful play...

Maybe he's busy working on things behind the scenes? There's been more offers and incentives coming out of Oakwell lately.

The free stadium tour during the holidays.
The 2 for 1 ticket offer.
A new Autumn range in the shop and free postage and packaging to go with it.
    Free printing on ladies' shirts.

There's probably more stuff too that I can't remember.

Company I worked for a few years ago were sponsors, we had regular meets with Risdale and the like but at no point did they ever tell us anything major like calling time on the manager etc.
I'm not saying you are wrong ,,,,,,,,it just seems unlikely that this info would be shared with anyone, other than the suits and head coach.

No good working on offers and incentives when there will be no fans to take advantage unless things dramatically improve!
