Three of which were against teams below and two of those were 23rd and 24th when we played them. We also drew against a team who were 24th. Relegation is a realistic prospect.
I never once pondered the possibility of relegation last season. Yesterday, after about 70 minutes I did do. 5 wins from the last 26 league games, so am told.
I don't think it will happen but one never knows. 2 big home games this week 6 points would be helpful to quell the unrest. Can't see it though
I wouldn't worry either way Mr Whitey With 48 inch to tinker about with you will have more pressing issues within your hands
If we can't beat tripe like Crewe, Donny and Blackpool who are we going to beat?! We've won four in twelve this season and we won one in the last ten at the end of last term. That's definite relegation form.
Not quite. Just had a look to check and it's 5 in 22. Which isn't much better tbh. Overall record is W9 D8 L9. Which doesn't look that bad. Since those 4 wins at the start of his reign though it's W5 D8 L9.
Unless we can attract sone experience (and some wingers) I'd say relegation will be a worry. I thought given the recruitment and the inexperience of the manager we would be lower mid table but with Conor out and the rest of the team and manager underperforming it looks worrying.
Cheers, mate. Not as bad, but as you say, not much better. Only winning a quarter of our games. Which equals a lower end finish over 46 games, 17th or summat maybe. By all accounts, he's going nowhere, Mr Cryne won't sack him, so would we all accept a 17th placed finish, with 12 wins and 18 defeats or whatever? Then hope the young lads have learned for next season? (presuming they're all still here)
Considering the money spent, promises made, crowds we draw and overall ability of the squad assembled, I wouldn't accept 17th.
If I'm being honest I was expecting Play offs this season but perhaps that was being a tad optimistic with the amount of youth within our squad
You have to accept given recent performances that relegation is more likely than promotion. A blind man on a galloping horse can see that the recruitment strategy under Johnson is not working. No natural leader on the pitch and no experienced older heads to see out games. Problem is Manford and co will not change strategy. Too many loan signings with no affinity to club and in some cases lacking talent and work ethic. LJ,s record is worse than previous managers. My worry is he lacks experience at any level as a manager. Talking a good game and delivering presentations will not by themselves get you 3 points on match day. We are in trouble!!!!
