Will you still be happy clapping in L2 because given the form at the end of last season and the start of this that's where Barnsley FC are heading. 1 win in the last ten last season and it's not like we had nothing to play for at the start of the run we were pushing for the play offs. 2pts off the drop zone this and taking 1pt out of 9 against the current bottom 3 in L1. Johnson won his first 5 games in charge with Wilsons team a team Burton and Hecky had already picked up and got winning. Since then it's been all downhill with a couple of exceptions like Everton although to be fair with a better manager we may have even held out to win that one. It's time to wake up and realise Barnsley FC are in real trouble especially with the main provider of goals / assists Hourihane out for at least a month. Is it totally the managers fault no the policy of relying on kids with no experienced players to show them the way is a factor but what else can be changed? You can't change all the players now you can't change the owner unless he decides to sell so that leaves the manager and maybe Mansford to take the fall. But make no mistake if something doesn't change soon it'll be L2 next season and that could well cause the final demise of Barnsley FC despite Cryne's efforts
The answer will be yes cause they are diehards, who support the club through thick and thin irrespective of how ***** we are. Call them the lifeblood of the club if you like.
Yes I will. I did it before & I'll do it again (health and finance permitting). I may have to practice my "Iley Out" chant, though!
I support the club I'm a diehard red but I can also tell a sows ear from a silk purse loyalty is one thing blind faith is another. No change equals L2 and that could lead to all sorts of strife for the club
I agree. I will not throw good coin to watch Carp indefinitely and neither will a good proportion of our fans. Dark days beckon again if we're not careful.
I'll still support them in league two but I'm far from being a happy clapper and I'm far from impressed by LJ right now.
We might have to write out the chant to help me remember, though. You know how rubbish my memory's getting!
Obviously said with very heavy degree of self righteous sarcasm, a barb against those MrZ sees as happy clappers...but the fans who support the club through thick and thin, irrespective of how s***e we are, are the lifeblood of the club it is true. And you can be a happy clapper or a non happy clapper it makes no difference.
I fear not. Some Tika Taka tape maybe. Hope we can get a performance in. As ever we seem to be doing better with higher placed sides, so hopefully. 2 home wins are achievable. I'm surprised LJ hasn't registered himself as a player. Him sat on the bench may have an influence on the likes of Pearson & Scowen that if they don't perform he'll come on. I reckon he'd still have 30 mins in him...
After reading umpteen posts by yourself, the vast majority to the"attentionseeker" reev, am struggling to understand were your coming from. When we win you are happy to give the manager time and hope we get it right, and when we lose, which to be fair is happening fairly regular, you jump on the side of the "lets get shut" brigade and start making threads having a go at the fabled "happy clappers" We all have opinions, but your fluctuating one's make you a bit foolish
