Was it that exciting in the Championship?

I agree. But to keep changing managers year after year (not to mention players) and then expect good football is pretty unrealistic and I feel like that's what some fans are expecting.

It was almost exactly the same but we got more exposure, more TV money and more gate receipts. I'd rather be there then make a 500 mile round trip to Oakwell to watch us lose to Crawley and then have to wait until 45 minutes in of whatever piss-poor League show is on TV to watch 14 seconds of highlights.

I'm not so sure that the majority of the first XI are good enough for this league, maybe in terms of quality they are but due to their age they are horribly inconsistent. And when it comes to transfers/loans, I'm beginning to wonder how much of a say LJ has and whether the club are blocking him from bringing experience in because he has admitted that's what we need and it almost comes across like he is trying to send a message to the board that we won't succeed without it.

Yes he's made mistakes but he's a young manager and it's very easy to pick out faults when you don't see the players in training everyday or know what there attitudes are like.

Should never have sacked Keith Hill but because some poor sensitive posters on here believed he criticised them now and again they were all for getting rid now see what you have ended up with

Yes we fecking should have ! I dont give a flying **** what he has done at Rochdale or what Flitcroft has done at Bury either. Both of these two were piss poor at Oakwell and they deserved to go !

To be honest playing attractive football and how best to do so would have been my top priority. Realistically, due to managerial and staff turnover a mid table finish would be reasonable but if you accept that then to get people interested you have to entertain. In entertaining you may hit on a successful formula.

In all honesty Johnson seems to have taken us backwards. He came in with the team built around Conor and George Waring we beat a few poor sides using this combination he tried to change things and thus far has failed. I'm in no way in the sack the manager camp. It's not my style in general and LJ hasn't had enough time. At the same time you have to look critically and say things are poor and show no signs of improving.

In the words of our American cousins "do the math"

The budget HAS to be one of the highest in the league because we have a season ticket holder and attendance base in the top 5 of the division. The simple fact is that we don't seem to have used this budget very wisely. That is either down to the manager or down to the confines in which he is required to work.

He was sacked because of poor results leading to dropping attendances and for being in danger of being relegated.

Isn't this his third full season as a manager?

He's had 133 games as manager, that is a reasonable amount to have learnt a few things?

You have nailed it, we sacked Hill and Flitcroft because we thought we were a Championship side when we weren't.We should have kept them both and we would now be a good league one side which is what we really should be aiming for

Apart from the almost 1 million pounds that they paid for Kieran Agard.....according to Sky.

Errr, we were a Championship side, on merit. The issues was that we could not build upon promotion because of how the club was run. I've heard it described as "worse than a non league club"

the people clamouring for managers to be sacked every 9 months, are every bit part of the problem

If the manager showed a little bit of promise nobody would be clamouring for change!
