Quite possibly the greatest reply I've ever read on this forum. But can I ask what the vulgar adjective was that's asterixed out?
The clappers would still have Spackman here, now playing in the Conference still pissing about in our own half
Quotes "We will only get better with time" "We need to impose our style of play on the opposition" Not happened really, we thought we were world beaters after Swindon,,,, look where they are now. I have to say though with key players out,, Watkins, Hourihane and Davies you can't just replace them and the working together aspect disappears when new lads are brought in,,,, it feels like a constant work in progress with no progress.
Wilson's entire tenure was utterly depressing. Travelling up and down the country knowing we had next to no chance of winning due to his fondness for going for the draw before a ball had been kicked meant I had little trouble with him being sacked, as sad as it was to see a club legend given the boot. That's not to say this is any better though. In fact, it's worse, given the promises made in pre-season to con people into buying a season ticket again. It's worse given we've some apparently hungry young players at the club who can't find the motivation to put in a shift at home to Fleetwood Town. It's worse given we knew the problems that needed fixing, we knew we needed experience and yet none was recruited. I can't and won't defend Johnson. But let's not pretend the football/results under Wilson were anything other than dire.
Very True Mr Jamo I know its Carp now but with Wilson it was Carp. All in all Carp seems to be the order of the last few seasons
Yy We were building a team to move forwards it was in its infancy. No one was pretending that it was just like watching Brazil. We sacked a club legend and moved backwards at a rate of knots. It's now up to those who were whining at the time to hold their hands up and say I was wrong. As for results i I never recall us being in the bottom 4 do you?
You need to do a new name and shame list Whitey, fans that want LJ to carry on are gonna kill this club.
Not in my case didn't want Wilson sacked don't completely lay the blame at Johnsons door. The happy clappers I was referring to are the ones who defend St Pat despite the fact that the buck should stop at his door it's his decisions his policies that have put the club in the mess it's in now but yet because he allegedly saved the club a decade ago and puts in millions a season (mostly to cover his **** ups) he's untouchable. Matt Bailey the ex commentator on Barnsley player has had some interesting things to say on Twitter about Mr Cryne. Mr Cryne supporters would do well to consider the opinion of someone whose had to deal with our supposed saviour.
