And they will be bitter to swallow for some who big him up as the messiah and saviour. But who can honestly say they are 100% surprised that Patrick Cryne turns out to be a bit of a lovely person? (Allegedly). I wrote some statuses about him staying but employing people better equipped to run the club earlier. I won't retract those - I did suggest he step back, if he stepped back and had some non lunatics running the asylum, we might get somewhere. Sounds like some folk, folk who have worked closely to the club and would know more than your joe average fan, think he's incapable of not being an interfering and nasty old **** so would not take a step back. If that is the case, and I've no reason to doubt it, then he ought to foxtrot oscar to some sunnier climes more fitting to his health. Or anywhere he wants that isn't anywhere near our club. It is only fair to say we don't know anything for sure. But let's face it, the ramblings of the last three or four managers have all made reference to certain things in thinly veiled and coded ways. I've no doubt their payoffs included silence clauses as hill, flitcroft, Wilson, even Mellon, have said absolutely nothing whatsoever to my knowledge about the club since being invited to leave it. Seems very strange. I reckon we're being made mugs of. At the very least something needs to be said at the top level. The silence has deafened for too many years.
It is only fair to say we don't know anything for sure.[/QUOTE] Sort of contradicts your 'difficult truths' title.
Possibly makes sense now why a user was banned for slagging Cryne. Got a feeling this board will be "undergoing maintenance" when we wake up tomorrow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I've never trusted Cryne. For one thing he is a Wombwell lad who supports the Tories and you only have to look at how he made his money.
There's some opinions. I'm not a fan of our owner, but I can't tell you the truth about him, just an opinion. I would imagine there are a number of people who could sing his praises all day long, who know him a hell of a lot better than I do. Not one of us is universally liked by everyone we meet.
As others have said, not exactly 'truths'. I'm not about to instantly believe what gets posted on a message forum after 5 straight defeats.
