I'm pretty sure people were saying that BM sounded uncomfortable and stuttering in media interviews shortly after.

Which isn't the confident Ben we all hear.

Think of that how you wish

Have to agree with the article. The football was dreadful to watch, but very few wanted Danny sacked as they appreciated the job he was left with. He was never given the time to rebuild. Mansford's reasons were baffling - finance and business matters most to those in charge at Oakwell. Success on the pitch would bring that, but their short term approach will never realise that...

Absolute garbage, what BM spouted at the time. It smelled strongly of ******** from the off and just didn't feel right. Apart from a few dissenters I would suggest that the vast majority of supporters were behind him and indeed polls on here suggested as much, even though we were going through a tough time. As the article suggests, Wilson had to contend with missing half a side for weeks, a problem that LJ simply hasn't had and we have to wonder just how bad it will get when he does.

the decision, it is clear, was made for other reasons, and i maintain that it was one of the worse decisions that our club have ever made. "Game changing" as Mario rightly put it.

Still, if it was made because crowds were dropping, then if BM is to any credibility left, for the sake of consistency I expect LJ to be sacked tomorrow. Because if there were 8700 there today then I am the King of Israel.

The hilariousness of the situation is that it is partly because of the sacking of Danny that people are now feeling disconnected to the club and are starting to stay away. If the sacking of him was to prevent crowd levels from dropping then they couldn't have got it more wrong if they had tried!

I seem to remember posting calculations of the crowds at the time, disregarding the away attendances there was no fall in numbers. Alls not sitting well with me at this present time. I'm sensing something big around the corner.

Not even bothered to read that article... Dunno if it's slagging or praising him. But, here's my view if u want it or not...

He took over one of the worse squads we've had in my lifetime (I'm 27) and he got rid of so much rubbish. Bought some good young players, brought some good young player though..

These sacked him for a bloke that guided oldham to the dizzy heights of 6th...6th! He then had an half decent run with us while passing the ball backwards n side ways. He's continued to pass the ball side ways and backwards while having what I consider to be good league one squad. Defended 1-0 defeats. The end.

My thoughts at the time were that things didn't add up, something just wasn't right in the words used by Mansford and I could smell a rat. It seems the truth is coming out and if the rumours are true then I'm just about done with the club, at least until those who have presided over the slow death of this club have gone.

There has got to be some truth in what you are saying. More to our decline than poor managers being appointed and too many loan players. Maybe LJ will spill the beans when he's gone.
