They are having some short term success it happens but won't last Sent from my Hudl HT7S3 using Tapatalk
Perhaps their allowed more freedom and less constraints as to what they can implement than they were at the Well ? The continual conveyor belt of loans signings really has been a disaster of the highest order especially after the club stated we were supposedly deviating away from that policy. No confidence in any of them and thing will not change until they depart. If they don't then the fans will as we will witness at the next home game.
It needs some standard setters & leaders in that dressing whether that's Bobby or someone else I don't know.
Hills had 2 playoffs, 2 promotions and highest ever finish for Rochdale. Flicker one promotion. Both saved barnsley from relegation Short term is the name of the game at Oakwell, seems exactly what we need, short term success.
Of course it won't last. Nothing lasts. In less than 2 years, flicker has then bury from league 2 relegation, to league 1 play offs. With a win rate of 46%. Hill has had two promotions. If those things are short term success and what we're doing is long term planning, I think I'll opt for short term success please.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Surely you are not saying you would prefer hill or flicker still in charge, Sent from my Hudl HT7S3 using Tapatalk
Hill, probably not. But that's because of him, not his ability as a manager. Flicker, absolutely. I don't see how anyone can even try to compare Johnsons stats with Flickers I'm not saying sack Johnson by the way. Completely the opposite. As long as the fans continue to bay for blood every 9 months, they will remain part of the problem. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Had one of the most entertaining period's of recent time's under flicker when we managed to stop up. Unfortunately for reason's only he will know, he went completely bonkers
Agreed. Lost his head & changed back to 4-4-2, for reasons I'll never understand. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I thought everything was Hillcroft's fault? Sure I read that over and over the last couple of years..
I really think Flitcroft is outstanding. By some accounts he's an utterly unbearable person, but I was campaigning for Steve Evans before he went to the Champions of Europe, and nothing Flitcroft has ever done could make him as reprehensible as Evans. Flitcroft deserved to be sacked. We were only going one way, and you don't keep a job in modern football after a start like we made. But the previous season was astounding. It was. You need to have something about you to pull around a broken squad like ours and keep it up. Wiseman? Dawson? Kennedy? And he kept us up? In hindsight, it's jaw-dropping. He's proved it's not a flash-in-the-pan, either. I have a huge man-crush on Flitcroft. He's brilliant. Talks a lot of rubbish, and likes a big squad and nice team bus etc., but his record is amazing.
