If every ticket sale is counted in the attendance regardless of how many people actually turn up then there is nothing at all stopping the club from giving away 15000 tickets to the antartic research team for the next home game and announcing a full capacity is there. That is how ludicrous this bizarre false reporting attendance ******** really is.
And a prospective new owner is impressed at a constant sell out. ****ing impressed. Good shout Although the books won't look good compared to it like
From barnsleyfccommercial.co.UK ... "Footfall figures at Oakwell total in excess of 350,000 loyal, passionate matchday supporters" Really?
Just checked the attendance figures from last season and unless my maths are wrong I get a total attendance for the season including preseason friendlies, cup games and league games of 266,640 which as we now know is the total ticket sales and thus higher than the actual footfall. Would love to know how the club gets the annual matchday footfall of 350,000 that it telling its potential advertisers it gets.
Either that or I've forgotten how long a year is. Apparently the stadium has a total footfall of 1.1m a year too due to the daily business activity at the ground. That is 750,000 people on none matchdays or over 2000 people per day. I wonder why they don't park in the carparks
Looks like we sell season tickets for the club shop and all manor of things then. That's a massively high figure
