Since his injury in the summer he's lost half a yard of pace and just can't get past a defender at all. He's still scored a few good goals, this is why he needs to be left up front alongside someone. I really like him as he always try's, but last year he worried defenders and caused problems. He can't play on his own as he doesn't have the pace and isn't a target man. We just don't have any decent strikers to play along side him!! Smith and Wilkinson don't seem up to it, although Smith should be given a run of games now to at least give him a chance. Maybe Watkins is worth a run up front.

Think Winnall and Smith could make a good pair we looked better 2nd half but will our manager play 2 up??

What has happened to winnall? He's been isolated up front where the only balls to him are punts to his head which is not his strong point. That or he's been played in bloody midfield of all places.

Agree with this, but even with 2 up front he's still lost that sharpness he had!

It's probably been knocked out of him after months of being shoved up front in his own

We have only seen this in 5 or 10 minute spells aside from 2nd half yesterday. At which point the whole team was shot so still made no difference.

You've answered it yourself. He can't play on his own. Not suited to a lone striker role at all. He needs a partner.

Some of us used to question it when Danny would play Lita or Hemmings with him but he needs a partner to get the best out of him & I can't believe that Johnson still hasn't worked that out

I just think he,s pissed off with it all,we don,t create any danger whatsoever in the oppositions box and that,s very worrying.
