What is the longest run of lost matches in the clubs history?

Me and my dad was an about this. It wasn't so long ago we think. But didn't we once lose our opening 6 games?

We can't be sure who was manager at that time either. Just something that rings a bell

I think he's already achieved the record for the most boring football.

Davey got 1pt from first 6 games. Maybe that you're thinking of?

Do you want any games or league only? Presumably we're talking league only due to the Bradford game

Got to be league games only to be really impressive!

Hard to believe I know, but we never lost more than four league games on the spin, under Robins, Hill, Flitcroft or Wilson. I've not checked Davey's yet.

Last time we lost five on the spin was the start of the season where Davey was sacked (four were his games) and Robins installed (his first game was the fifth defeat).

Lost a lot under Davey, three and fours on the bounce, but never more than that.

Even in the Premier League, our biggest losing streak was three which happened twice.

Lost four on the spin under Viv Anderson.

Again, four on the bounce under Mel Machin.

And yep, twas 1986-87 season under Clarke our worst losing sequence of six league games.

So since I started watching the reds (1988-89) the current run is the worst we've experienced.

    Brilliant.

I thought we had 1pt from first 6 games under Davey? Didn't realise Robins was in charge for the 6th game. Started with a draw at Wednesday IIRC. JB scored didn't he?
