9 Games on the bounce is the club record

for games lost in the Football League and was set in the disastrous 1952-53 season.

Last run of 6 defeats was in the Premier Season under Danny Wilson.

Other sixes came under Clarke 1986 and Steele in 1966.

We have never lost 6 games at Level (Division) 3 before.

Re: Come on LJ ...you can do it ..10 losses in a row is achievable!

Robins first game was Watford away and he was more observing than actually managing if I remember reight. Could be wrong like wi my memory.

We did. But then lost the next four, Robins' first game a defeat at Watford. Five on the spin. But that's in the second tier. I can't be arsed to go far enough back to check the last time we lost five ont spin in this division.

Lost three, then drew one, then lost three, then won one, then lost two and was sacked. So yer reight.

I thought it was 1 all? Based on the fact I can't remember the other scorer for us.

Ta. I remember the JB goal clear as day. I can't picture the Macken goal at all.

Aye. Not spending on players he didn't think would improve us.

He'd have to lose nine on the trot to equal the recond set in the early 50s.

Second Division. We were relegated. It was after we sold Tommy Taylor.

To be fair, that header was supposed to be a knock back to the midfielder, but as usual he mis headed it ! :D

Seeing as you are looking at statistics...

I'm half-expecting someone to say that this is our lowest league position for 30 years, or something like that. Or did we get to 21st under Wilson? Presume if we drop any further then it will be our lowest league position for many years.

We didn't go into the bottom 4 last season
    IIRC

I don't even think we did under Bodges but could be wrong

So lowest league position since 1979 maybe?

I started supporting the team in 1977, saw them go all the way to the top and never expected them to go back to where they started :-(

Still, once Watkins, Hourihane and R Williams get back into the team, we should be OK.
