I was at both QA sessions at No 7 and Redfearns. PC answered the questions put to him and came across incredibly articulate - even if he does bang on a bit. None of that has made the slightest difference to the ones running round with pitchforks and peddling **** knows what conspiracy theories. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Simple as.... And how do people know that they haven't had the truth...Just cos they choose not to believe, who really cares.
PC said that they told Wilson they would support him unless/until further relegation became a threat. It did. They sacked him. There's no conspiracy - it's as simple as that. I rejoiced when Danny was reappointed, but with hindsight it was a mistake - just like setting Alan Clarke on for a second time was a mistake.
Because it's a PR exercise. I've noted this earlier today. I asked a simple question at one of these events. The club gave an answer. And did the complete opposite a few days/couple of weeks later. So it's plainly obvious that the club will say what they think fans want to hear. So on that basis it isn't and wasn't the truth. It was a simple question. One that which if an honest and truthful answer was given then at least those in attendance wouldn't have been slightly agrieved when the complete opposite happened. Ie it led to a player leaving for peanuts as usual
Ah. So it was you then, who asked LJ to fit 'gas giant' into his next interview!? I was also very disappointed when he didn't do that Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
If I'm free I most certainly will be going but I doubt I'll be told anything different to the spin they've already fed us. I certainly don't hide behind a username, I would never say anything on here that I wouldn't repeat publicly.
If the reasons for sacking Danny were genuine then what the hell is keeping LJ in a job? We've gone backwards, we're more threatened by relegation than we ever were under Danny and crowds are dwindling further. Maybe I'm being cynical but I don't believe the spin.
I wasn't referring to you on that point Mario sorry should have made that a bit clearer. Was more about earlier posts on different treads slating certain people higher up at oakwell just don't think it's wise.
Who has said owt about corruption? I'm satisfied that I've broke no rules in stating that I'm losing interest in the club in its present guise and that I didn't agree with the dismissal of Danny nor the excuses used in doing it and in stating my anger at the clubs piss poor recruitment. I don't know Mr Cryne well enough to hold an opinion on him as an individual but as the custodian of the club I think he's done good things and bad things, naturally. I've spent more time in Ben's company and he seems a good egg. LJ too. But I stand by my posts. This isn't the BFC I want, I feel disconnected and the results are way down my list of issues, they're merely the by product of the strategies I feel are against what I want as a supporter of this club. Doesn't make me right or them wrong, but I'm not the only long term supporter they are at risk of losing through the decisions made over a period of time. Sue me.
While I do think things have gone a bit OTT in the last 24 hours, the club would be wise not to alienate themselves further by taking any sort of action against what is basically a few plebs* with WIFI. *Plebs in the most affectionate sense.
Where do you go from there though mario, if people are invited to ask questions, but either choose not to, or don't believe the answers they're given? On the one hand people criticise the club for managers too quickly. Then when they don't, people say you sacked the last one, why aren't you sacking this one. Seriously, how can the club do the right thing there? The Danny thing frustrates me. At the time, I said the next manager wouldn't be given the patience that everybody demanded for Danny. And it's proving to be the case. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I disagree with you Mario regards the Wilson sacking but as regards his replacement I totally agree 100% with your sentiments. Were in a worse mess now than when Wilson was sacked so how come Lee Jay is still employed ?
I've made my feelings clear about Danny, I'm still angry about it and I'd have him back tomorrow but I know this board is divided about him which I accept. I'm not so sure the divide is so wide with regards to Johnson.
Following your path for the last 10+ years, has been a complete failure. And doing exactly the same again, will most likely have exactly the same result. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I think the sacking of Danny was a mistake in hindsight & one the majority this board didn't call for. Focussing on it now is totally pointless though. I've been critical of Mansford from day one, as my posts will show. Not sure sacking him, LJ, or whoever will help at the moment. We are in a bloody horrible mess at the moment. The future looks dark for the club, unless things are turned around. I honestly have **** all ideas, other than bringing in some experience that might keep us in the division for another season. Whatever happens the club's budget will be even smaller next year, whichever division we are in, as I can't see gates of more than 5k on average. I'm off now to listen to Scott Walker...
I do agree about sacking managers Marc but how long do we stick with a poor manager? I may be wrong but I think Johnson is a poor manager.
