All players have critics. That list of players were supported by a majority.

At the risk of repeating myself, I said earlier in the thread I had nothing against the signing of experienced players (either now or last Summer), I actually liked ALL the players listed by Super Tyke. I simply pointed out that those same players were not universally popular with our fans. Some of the players had particularly fierce critics, none of which I was in agreement with.

I've not said you didn't support them. Just saying that all players have critics, shouldn't stop us from bringing in experience just because experienced players we've brought in in the past have been criticised. Most of our young players we bring in have critics too.

My point at the beginning of the thread was we have to do better when bringing in experienced players than we did in the recent past with the likes of for example O'Connor, Mido, Lita, Treacy, Pollitt, Fox or Woods.

Totally agree. It's difficult to know what you're getting until you've got it though. Who'd have thought Treacy would flop so badly after the season he'd just had for Burnley?

I think Redstar got it spot on, mate, when he said the likes of Lita & Treacy from last season seem to have adversely affected the club when it comes to bringing in experienced players.

Aye I'd say there's definitely something in that. Fingers burnt, once bitten etc. I'd hope they'd be a bit braver than that though.
