Would have him back tomorrow. Yes, the second stint wasn't great but he bought some good players and started developing some new ones. Convinced he'd have us in the top ten now. Absolutely certain of it. Walking in a Wilson wonderland!
I saw nothing from Danny's second spell to convince me he would have turned us round. Nothing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It would be more credible than blind faith in LJ though. There's been even less evidence that he will deliver the stated aims. And currently very little to say he will be able to keep us up!
I 100% agree with you on all points Matthew. The thing that gets me is that people are complaining that LJ is young and are saying that we need to get someone with experience in and to give that person time, yet they didn't want Danny. It is virtually impossible to get a manager with more experience than him! If we were going to stick with a manager no matter what it should have been Danny hands down. Especially as we were equal distance from the playoffs, we'd just played all the top teams away from home and we had key players due to return from injury. On top of all that, we'd just won something like the past 5 home games in a row. I know we weren't great away but see the point about having played the top teams and missing key players.
Me too. He wouldn't have been sacked if it was up to me and if I had any influence I'd be on the phone to him tomorrow planning his return.
Two wrongs don't make a right. I'm not gonna have a pop at the Club for trying to show more patience than they have done previously. The ghost of Danny Wilson will haunt every poor fcuker that steps through the door. Why aren't people bemoaning the sacking of Flicker? Far more evidence in that direction, than Danny. Nice of the boy to save you some... I'm off to bed due to the end of my own amount of beverage. I drink too much. Night BBS. Up The Reds.
I don't Glad we got rid. Then we appoint a manager with a cv busting at the seams with his previous exploits of success. You reap what you sow!!!!
Thought your topic was English not History? I think we had a great and successful team in 1912, why on earth don't we get em back. Just don't get it.
I don't miss him easy to say we would be top ten now but I saw nothing to suggest that exept what he did in 1997. He brought some dross in too lita, treacy, turnbull, bailey ect I'd rather have flicker back. In fact I'd rather we just appointed a good replacement for Wilson Burton and hecky were on a good winning run why change something that isn't broke.
Nobody because I don't trust the powers that be to get the order for the sandwich shop right! Until they depart things won't become any better!
Who would want it is more the question. I've said it before I'd give Burton and hecky a go till end of season. Should have kept them last time but the serial moaners on here were giving it "uninspiring if we keep Burton and hecky" and "don't go for cheap option"
