    Yes there was a fair few that came knocking, fortunately the house was well stocked with sweets. One little lad made me laugh; he came knocking with about six of his mates and when I answered he said 'have you got any sweets mister'?

    I bought 8 quids worth of sweets and then the missus turned all the lights off as per usual cos she is a miserable git when it comes to halloween. So we've got enough sweets in the house now to see us till Christmas.

    we didnt get any knocking this year, didn't last year either. Not sure if thats because there are fewer kids on the street we now live on than the last one, where we got loads of them, or whether it was because the lights were off! :)

    We haven't had any for 6 years as we live in a maisonette and our door is around the back. Saying that, I've never heard any on the front door either. I reckon it's because I live in a student area, I've not seen any kids on our street the whole time I've lived here.

    3 lots with their parents 'chaperoning' them and waiting at the gate for their safe return.

    All-Hallows Eve - the evening before All Saints is the time to remember the Dead, Saints and Martyrs -- not sure what that has to do with trick or treating. (With apologies for bringing a bit of gravitas to this site)
