    If I had the same self-belief as Lee Johnson (I don't, but I wish I had) then I wouldn't resign either. Not because of the money, but because I'd think I could turn it around.

    You can accuse the man of being a poor manager, but I don't believe it's a failing on his part that he won't quit.

    I heart threads like this. All being upstanding men of principle, I'm sure we would all forfeit compensation that we were fully entitled to, and deprive our families of income. Yeah we would all do that wouldn't we? Would we ****.

    Are you saying that the only reason we are keeping him is because we can't afford to get rid. If so we could be in the conference before he goes.

    I'd say it's not the only reason but it's part of it.

    That c500k (including other staff) will be spent letting LJ try to put it right in January.

    He won't resign and who could blame him? I wouldn't be resigning if I was him.
