...........regarding Stones........then the club is well and truly foooked !!! As said at the time of the rumoured Stones transfer - the board of directors cannot rely on a short term windfall of money from once in a blue moon transfer such as Stones - the club needs sustained investment if the club is to progress. That is to say - if the club is able to reach the Championship and stay there. Also said at the time - if Patrick Cryne cannot finance the club to the level it needs then he should take the Stones transfer money and run.
And then what? Just close the club down and call it a day? We cant operate without Mr Cryne and should be grateful hes still here..... Its not like people are lining up to take the club off him!
I hear Cellino might be available soon. I think he likes Yorkshire and hates Leeds fans. Perfect fit?
Could we be any worse than we are? Past caring Do what they want. Worse I've felt about Barnsley FC since I've supported them! Very Sad
Every other club seems to survive , why are we so dependant on one man. Patrick Cryne likes to create this feeling that the club is totally dependant on him , its a way of diverting criticism. He doesn't like criticism if you hadn't noticed .
I am not happy with LJ as manager. I am also not happy with posters on here knocking Patrick Cryne. After bankrolling someone for years, I would be dead chuffed at them giving me criticism for spending thousands for them. He is an ardent supporter and local guy who is feeling our situation just like us. The problem lies with the Head Coach who has the responsibility to do his job. Just like any business he is held to book and sooner than later he will lose his job. He is replaceable, as of yet Patrick Cryne is not.
This is correct Patrick has put millions of his own cash in over years. I believe we could survive without him other clubs do but unless someone else came In with some money to invest we will seriously stagnate. As for Lee Jay it's easy to say let's sack another manager but he was given a 3 and half year contract if Patrick don't want to put anymore of his own cash in he won't want to sack him and pay him up.
What will cost the most ? Paying the manager off or relegation to league 2 and loss of money from FA, season tickets, on the day tickets etc ? I have said that I dont want the manager to be sacked but he seems to be doing his best to get it ! I don`t give a **** anymore , my life is far more reaching than Oakwell !
Like I said if Patrick is wanting out and to not put no more of his own coin in he is going to do his best not to sack him.
After saying what he said last night, he is going to look like a first class idiot if we lose the next 6 and LJs position becomes beyond untenable.
Of course he is but am just saying how I see it. There is some reason he doesn't want rid of Lee Jay as previous managers would be long gone by now. Or maybe else is sure Lee will turn it round.
And if PC is so fed up. He won't put any more money into something he no longer wants to run. Simple. We should be self sufficient. And if we are not he only has himself to blame
This is why we need recordings or transcripts. How many of the people commenting on last night, were actually there? Every time I've heard PC speak, he comes across very well. But people need to be challenging the things he says, when they don't stack up. I wasn't there so I'm taking most of the aftermath with a pinch of salt tbh Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Basically - Patrick Cryne has done a terrific job saving the club - but he promised to sell the club after it was stabilised. He hasn't done this - so in the years Patrick has had hold of the club we have gone from.......... STABAILISATION.........to............STAGNATION
