Is why aren't they streamed live to fans? We know the club can do so so why aren't they?

Was it even publicised? I saw it mentioned on here but if I didn't read the BBS I wouldn't have known anything about it.

It was the invited meeting wasn't it? I'm guessing that's why it wasn't publicised

Should they stream it if it's invite only? Might as well open it to everyone

They can't stream it. They wouldn't be able to tell 200 fans secret in confidence info and then tell them not to mention it once they've left.

So not so much of a fans meeting then.

My understanding is the representative fan groups who are encouraged to ask questions and invite people. However WSB and The BBS didn't, to my knowledge get any invites. So I'm not sure which are the high or low profile fan groups that get invited. If the BBS was invited at least the feedback would be easy to understand quickly when we sent Thereev and DocZ

Gally and Hicksy always invited and the latter was there (from BBS). These forums are in addition to bigger events held a couple of times a season. To manage numbers fans are asked to channel questions to the club through groups. BM opening statement last night was he had expected some questions from BBS but only a few of mine where sent in. With Cryne and Johnson then attending, the agenda was rightly thrown open.

Yeah. A theme seems to be emerging here. Everytime Ben Mansford goes along to one of these things, the first thing he does is question the input of the people who aren't there. Ask Gally about bottlegate at the No 7 :)

As for the lack of questions - I personally had no idea it was happening. I probably forgot like, but I don't even remember seeing a Sticky on the BBS

But am I right in saying Gally and Hicksy represent the Trust? So who actually does represent the BBS at these things and in fact I don't believe WSB was invited either. Would we want the BBS represented? Who would be prepared to do it?

I really don't get this at all.

All the main supporters groups are represented at this meeting, and if they are not, I'm sure they can be included for the next meeting if they contact Beth Sefton in the ticket office.

It's a small group in terms of numbers so that it's a manageable meeting that lasts usually not much more than an hour.

The 'reps' at that meeting are then expected to feedback to their respective groups that they are representing. Anyone can come as a rep for their particular group, but basically not every bugger can come from every group. if loads want to go, just draw up a rota!

The alternative is an 'all supporters' meeting for every fan, where 8,000 can turn up and all fall out with each other and slag everybody off who is connected to the club!

    Jesus, chill out

I do agree with Albatross though. They're not closed meetings. If you wanna go, go. You won't be turned away. My point was more about not knowing it was even happening. Could probably do more to advertise it to BBS members. Then they can decide if they want to go or not

There's not been a single mention of it on here. If we were represented, we were represented extremely badly.

I'm not having a dig at anyone before someone comes and shouts at me, I know people are busy, but it's a fact that if we were represented at this meeting, we were represented very badly.

Jay, I really like your posts, I always find them very reasoned and very much along the same lines of thinking as me, but mate, the BBS isn't the centre of the Universe in terms of BFC supporters, in fact I would say that the vast majority of people who follow the reds never venture anywhere near this forum. So in the bigger picture outside of the BBS, the vast majority of supporters are very well represented at the meeting.

If it's not been mentioned on here it's a miracle, but there always is people at that meeting who use this forum, the main one being Gally who for the first time wasn't there last night, and that's probably the main reason for the lack of mentions on here leading up to it.

Every other meeting Gally has asked for questions in advance of the meeting and then fed back pretty quickly the answers on here after the meeting. From that, I take Gally to be the 'representative of the BBS' at the meeting, no matter what other hats he wears, so if he wasn't around for this one, and some of you would have known that, he should have been asking someone else off here to take his place.

I didn't mean fans in general weren't well represented, I meant the users of this forum. I know that the BBS is just a small section of fans, like any of the supporters groups, but if we had the chance of someone being there representing this forum, we should have taken advantage of that. If Gally was busy or didn't want to do it or whatever then just give the opportunity to someone else. Fact is though, none of us even knew it was taking place. Other supporters groups obviously did because they had representatives there.

I think the users of this forum were let down by this, because we could have asked questions but didn't get the chance. I didn't mean Barnsley fans in general were let down.

    Apologies for the confusion.
