So why do people believe without mr cryne we would be in conference we wouldn't. I'm glad cryne saved us and love him for that but the club is on it arse.
I sincerely thank him for saving us but he MUST step down now. Don't give a **** who takes over as things are at rock bottom as they are!
That statement suggests you've lost the plot...the forum has had dozens (perhaps 100's?. I'm not going to count) of posts from you slagging off everything to do with the club/manager/Mansford/Cryne etc. When recent results are this poor, others may agree, not agree, or agree in part, but if you really don't care who takes over I would hope you've shown yourself up to be in a very tiny minority.

Past caring fella. We're a bag of cacka that has been totally self inflicted by the club and it's policies. They will suffer the consequences of their mismanagement.
Let me spell this out for you. 1) Cryne wants to go but nobody wants to take over from him 2) We spend more money than we make 3) Cryne makes up the shortfall in our income 4) If Cryne goes and nobody puts in the money that he's currently putting in we are in the ****. Do you understand that?
How much of this is self inflicted by the current regime though? I.e, not realising how good your players are, selling them for blackys eggs, paying off manager after manager, punitive pay on the day prices that turn away the casual pay on gate supporter, running out of home football shirts and still trying to flog tax disc holders in the club shop, loan after loan instead of bleeding in our own youngsters etc A club with the fan base we have should be able to exist on a break-even basis at some point in the football pyramid. Where that is depends on how well the club is run, and in my opinion, that should be higher than where we find ourselves right now and certainly higher than the direction we find ourselves heading
I'm sure you are right my friend in a lot of the things you say there, the costs we incur are sometimes of our own making and as such can and should ultimately be addressed, however, I am talking very much the 'here and now' and the fact is that, as we speak, as I understand it, our 'incomings' do not meet our 'outgoings'. It is therefore amazing to me that certain people are calling for the head of the bloke who is propping up the finances of our club, the bloke who has been doing that now for many years. The man himself states that he feels he has failed during his tenure and that he wants to handover to someone else, should the right person for BFC come along with sufficent financial clout. But that person is nowhere to be seen right now and it's only because PC loves the club so much and cares about it's future that he hasn't just said ... 'f*ck it I've had enough of this, I'm off' .... as many would have done had they been the ones who had put millions of pounds in, and many hours of time and effort, just to be slagged off by people who don't fully understand the consequences for the club if he just packs up and departs right now.
Whatever the shortcomings...and I do agree with some of your criticisms, the Guardian investigation into football finance indicated we were the best run club in the Championship, and closest to break even...only one club made a profit and they had premier league parachute payments to rely on.
Which would indicate we are (or were?!) less dependent on Mr Cryne than we are led to believe? It's conflicting or at very best, out of date information I agree also Albatross that if there is a current funding deficit at present then a fan ownership model is not immediately viable and without another owner on the horizon we could soon find ourselves in administration without Pat's backing. Those calling for him to simply pack in or walk away ought to be careful what they wish for. We do have a reluctant owner and on that basis alone a smooth and sensible transfer of ownership should be an absolute priority
Trouble is the majority on here don't understand, and think a Joe Muggins takes over we will be 100% better.
When in the championship we made a profit. It was about 40k. Don told all. Granted it included sales. But we made a profit. We lost some tv income yes. We have now rid of high earners. Sold another. If we are not breaking even at least now (as in this season) then the club is mismanaged. Why PC has to pump in another million or so with the youth/loans we have I have yet to see a viable reason. Other than PC supporters grasping onto a reason for him to keep hold of the club.
I think it's a bit of a sweeping statement to say the club is mismanaged under the current circumstances. It will be 18 months plus before the accounts are published. All we can confirm is that it was the best run as far as the last analysis showed. Sorry but I haven't heard myself about the million or so you've mentioned so I can't comment on that.
