I can't accept that. Sorry. A fleeting glance maybe, but anyone familiar with the site would see the reality (especially with a poll specifically covering it). I presume that the people involved at the club are familiar with the site through regular perusal rather than just saying "big decision to make, let's spend half an hour on the bbs to decide".

To be honest. The club make regular reference to social media. Something which jay ranted on about was It yesterday.... And it's a fair possibility.

 

Aye they make regular reference to it, gives the impression they're familiar with it so surely aren't fooled by a few posting a lot? And wouldn't miss specific polls?

Any business requires feedback from customers. Social media is as good a place as any. Usually you get a balanced opinion. You used to get that on here. There were extremes of course, but most people were in the middle. That is no longer true. The few drown out the majority. You and I can identify those who make all the noise because we use this board all the time. We're very familiar with it. If you're not, if you're a casual user, if you use it to get a general feel of the atmosphere amongst the fan base, you'll get a very different impression to reality. Even though I frequent this BBS everyday, I was surprised by the result of the latest poll. That's how skewed it's got. If you miss that one post...

 

I too was shocked (but chuffed) at the poll.

 

I'm still meh about whether he stays or not but you didn't allow that option. You forced me into going for an out. I feel grubby.
