They appear to mistakingly getting players forward, don't have two midfielder permanently camped in front of their defence and seem to be moving around the pitch too. They must think it's a different sport or something

The management team set the tempo. Couldn't be any further away from the manager we've got.

All the things that the manager takes responsibility for, surely the players themselves have a say so on how hard they work.... Iv'e always thought players get away lightly sometimes in slumps of form when really they should get more stick than the manager..Funny old game, as someone once said!

    Re: ******

week in week out we have 6 men around the half way line marking 1 or 2 opposition forwards while one of our midfielder tries to pick out our lone striker among a blanket of defenders. That's got to be the managers doing or he would have put a stop to it after a few games.

When Digby played other week I actually thought our center backs had him on reigns, as he was never further than a yard from one of them, yet LJ kept him on the whole game.

Its like when we are attacking we are always defending the counter attack.

They've certainly played with confidence and seemed determined to win. Enjoyed the first half.

I agree the manager picks formations and gives players instructions, but if they don't perform then the player himself should take responsibility too..
Easy to sack a manager , a player gets off lightly imo.

It's a cup game. They're playing a football league side. They'll up their game, effort and tempo. Much like we did against Everton.

Enjoying the game though, especially after watching the documentary yesterday. Jermaine Jenas has also mentioned the 'corridor of uncertainty'.

    Yep
And yet despite 6 plus players back the opposition always get space to score...

    It's poor football.

    Not "technical" enough.
