How on earth Wilkinson gets a place in match day squad, even if it's on bench, is beyond me! Why not let Abbott or another young un get a chance?
There's no need for some many strikers on bench when we're playing these formations with only 1 striker role.
Interesting that Maris starts. I think that just shows how little faith Johnson has in Jackson & Wilkinson. Glad to see an academy kid get a start & he did well at a similar level to Altrincham for Guiseley by all accounts. Disappointed Bree's not starting. Considering he can play right back or midfield it's a joke he's not had a start with how bad Wabara's been of late & Hourihane been injured.
I'm in full agreement there. Wabara's form has deteriorated badly. And as you say, Bree can play midfield too yet Mawson was in there Tuesday out of 'necessity' LJ said. I think Maris' inclusion and Isgrove's non-inclusion says a lot about the latter's impact. We're just not getting value out of any of these loanees, Pearson aside.
