    Format the cell so it shows text exactly as typed.

    I don't have Excel here, but I'd usually do it through the 'special character' box. I think it's in the 'Insert' menu or something? Once you've got one just copy and paste it wherever else you need it.

    Try holding down alt and typing 2714 on the number pad

    Insert a 'symbol'. The symbol option should be in the top menu
