Exactly who do you want that's available and affordable??? We are no longer a club in any position to attract top quality talent from even League 1,let alone the Championship. Both of our Academy strikers were badly injured at the start of season, so they are not an option either. Respect the right of anyone to offer any opinion of course but what are the realistic alternatives for us at the moment?
So you honestly believe that in the whole world of football, only a 19 year old reserve player, a bloke who sells coffee in Argentina, and a crocked 33 year old are the only players that we can attract?
Who else can we sign when we're in desperate need and the transfer windows shut? We cant get Kevin Nolan we've tried that one.
Well if this fails and I,m pretty certain it will with this manager in charge where do we go then,it also gives him a vote of confidence if they are letting him bring more players in.
I'm not a ******* football scout. We had all summer to set ourselves up until Jan, but it's been royally ****** up by signing a load of kids on loan from premier league clubs... oh hang on. We've got Smith who scored 18 last season but our manager can't get a tune out of him due to wnak tactics. We don't need another big striker. We need a decent system. And Colace is on trial, so we haven't signed him. I'd prefer we play Abbott over signing him and send Pearson back to Man U. Happy at Hammill signing though. Nothing to lose on that one.
We have 5 strikers on the books, refuse to play 2 upfront which means 3/4 of them have hardly started any games and we decide the answer to our problems is signing a 19 year old striker. Desperation. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I don't not want any of them. Well, I don't want Colace, but that's only because I'm being an arsehole. I'm aware of that. I don't care who we bring in at the moment (not Ched Evans!) we need players. Ours aren't good/experienced enough. Although, as well as these players we're bringing in, I hope he also consigns some of the loans to the scrap heap and gives more of a chance to our young 'uns. At least they care.
1) I'm perfectly happy to have Hammill IF his head and fitness are in the right place. 2) I've never seen Toney play in the flesh but we are crying out for pace up front and for some reason J***nson won't play Jackson. Signing a quick striker on loan to play with (a backside-kicked) Winnall as a pair up front is a reasonable move right now and despite his age Toney is going to be the only type of player available to us until January. It's actually a fairly normal use of the loan system as opposed to the fifty two others we've already had on loan this season. The only concern is that the clueless J***nson will either stick him up front on his own or have him playing left wing back. 3) Neither Fallon or Colace have been signed as far as I'm aware, I hope they won't be. Like Jay, I never got Colace and can't see how he offers more five years after he offered very little. Fallon is just an old, crocked Wilkinson. I'd also send all the other loanees back and use between now and January to find out if any of our home growns can hack it or they can go in January too. They can't do any worse than the mercenary army that's lost eight on the bounce. (My, Rachel Riley looks fine in red).
