You think maybe the injury to josh may open the door a little for him to sign s short term depending on fitness obviously (still fitter than Williams!) Just tweeted again @HugoColace: The manager have the desition , i am ready to sign it!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
not sure how i feel about this if im honest, it's great having players pay there own way here and beg for trials but when they haven't played a game in two years it's a bit concerning, i'd rather us send a loan back and then bring in someone who isn't getting games in the championship.....
Not sure yeh it dies look desperate on our part but on the other hand what harm has it done he's paid his own way, we know he certainly had the quality wether any of it remains is another thing but it is nice to have someone really want it, can't knock him for that I just hope IF we do take a punt ok a short term he doesn't make himself look silly not that he would just I want him to do well Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I can't believe that in the entire football world no other club will offer him a contact and that he's paid himself to come here for a trail because no one else will give him a chance and that he thinks we are a soft touch and going to play him even if he can't play any more. Unless he is a complete mentalist then he seems to me to be completely committed and really more than any player I can remember want to play for us. So for that reason I want the lad to get a chance and do well but saying all that he is probably a bonkers as they come Sent from my Hudl HT7S3 using Tapatalk
I don't think we need a replacement for Scowen. Having him and Pearson in the same midfield was too negative. Now with only one of them available we should be more positive and attack minded and less boring. If that doesn't work and we need a more defensive minded player back in there we have Digby, Abbot etc. I know it was against a lower league team but a more attacking midfield worked the other night.
There are rules against slave labour tha knows! We'd at least have to pay minimum wage surely - however it would be unfair to not give him a proper wage if he is turning out for out first team - otherwise we would be just taking advantage of someone.
Well, they won't have played for six months either, so I don't see a great deal of difference. Both options will require a number of games to get up to speed. The fitness issue is something of a red herring I feel, as they is almost zero chance of getting anyone that is already match fit. That said, someone mentioned Paul Green from Rotherham the other day.
because he's been brought over off the back of some surreal, relentless twitter campaign, having been working in a coffee shop in south america. my bet is it's got absolutely zero to do with lee johnson, which is only fuelling the fire that footballing decisions are being made above LJs head. i'm also pretty confident that if he signs and it goes tit$ up, the people who are saying we've nothing to lose, will conveniently forgot that and round back on the club for making another hash of a signing. fair play to hugo for covering the costs n that. but it blows my mind that this is happening. just screams of desperation and we'll try owt.
You say fair play to him for covering his own costs but is it not normal in life for you to pay your own costs for going to what is essentially a job interview?
