    France have been a target for Islamic extremists (assuming this is the case) for a while now. Charlie Hebdo was just the tip of the iceberg.

    I'm sat here watching the news and cannot remember the last time something hit me so hard. I've been to Paris several times, but I've also been to London, Manchester, Madrid, Boston and other cities that have been through this in the past few years without feeling like this. I don't particularly like Eagles of Death Metal (not really heard them, but have seen QOTSA), but I was a regular concert goer in my youth and have been to Paris for a concert in the past. This feels like a direct attack on my kind of person, who enjoys the same alternative music and live concerts.

    At this precise moment in time, I don't want to share this planet with anyone that could be involved in anything so barbaric. If this is linked to ISIL or one of the other radical Islamic groups then I can only hope that every single one of them gets to spend eternity in whatever passes for hell in their corrupted religious fantasy.
