Someone posted after yesterday's defeat the squad simply isn't good enough and they weren't sure if a change of manager would help. I believe we have a fairly decent bunch.

Davies- was great last season don't know if crossley leaving has affected him and been unfairly dropped for townsend can't of helped his confidence but a good keeper imo.
James bree - been hyped by the accademy for a while the best rb we have imo exellent prospect
Alfie Mawson - been a bit hit and miss for me Wycombes player of the season last year and we beat off plenty of comptition for the lad.
Lewin nytanga- seasoned pro capped for his country
George smith- some may see him as our weak link good prospect imo but not sure he sold be played every week cover needed
Marley watkins- highly rated in Scotland allegedly beat off comptition from bigger clubs to sign him has our most assists from open play
Connor horahine - we all know about Connor our best source of goals and assists last season and this
Josh scowern- Wycombe fans were gutted to lose josh and thought he would have gone to a championship team a solid performer
Adam hammill- we all know what Adam can do when fit
Sam winnall- scored for fun last season when he had a strike partner could be prolific in this league if used correctly
Simioen jackson- has scored bags in Division above the one we are in.
I could have named others like smith and Ryan williams and highlighted their strengths I just think we have the quality to be well above were we are and it's very frustrating that Johnson has pissed about with poor negative tactics and formations, shown poor man management skills and played loans/short term players before our own. Do others agree we have the talent there to be mid table at least?

Yes, we have the talent to be a lot higher up the league, even higher than mid table.

Therefore, the only common factor is the manager (head coach) isn't getting the most out of his players. Worse the players seem to be going downhill and confidence is eroding by the week.

Hence, LJ has to go, to save our season.

    Agree absolutely

We have a decent squad, it all makes no sense to me.

Second from bottom, lost last eight, need I say more. The team is not good enough, despite some good individuals.

We could judge the strengths/weaknesses of our players/team by what's written on here. We could go with your (fairly muted) praise, or I could write something that rips them to pieces and we could go with that. I'm not going to as I quite like the majority of our players even if I think they have limitations. But what's written on here doesn't matter. We could make each and every one of our players sound good or bad (good luck if you're extolling the virtues of Conor Wilkinson like, but I'm sure it's possible). What matters is how they perform on the pitch and out there we've lost 8 league games in a row plus an FA Cup tie to a non-league side. It doesn't matter how bad you believe the manager is and how much influence you think he has on our results, a team of good players will not do that.

I agree with this. If our players were generally good enough there's no way we would be on a run like we are at the moment. We desperately need an old head at centre half to cajole & organise the back four as well as a well as a similar type in midfield. LJ is still 90% of the problem though. His clueless tactics have just baffled the players (and us fans) and drained every ounce of confidence out of them. He just has to go....

Any team that loses 8 league games on the trot clearly lacks quality. We have plenty of players that have the potential to be good but they are not good at the moment. Of the current crop I'd only go with Hourihane and Hammill with possibly Winnall and Scowen as having realised any potential the rest may push on and may fall by the waysid.

We have some decent players and some youngsters with potential.what we don't have is a strong spine.we need strong experienced players at centre half, centre mid and centre forward and build around that.Lee Johnson obviously knows that.without them it will be a long, hard season, whoever the manager is.
