Every single goal scored against us in the league so far this wretched season, accompanied by crappy punk rock music from 1997. Fill yer booits in terms of scapegoats.
Cheers for that Whitey. ****sake how bad is Robbo when the striker has him back peddling. He got just as bamboozled at Altrincham too.
That last goal. Pearson should probably have fouled up but NO ONE tracked the runner on the inside of the player with the ball... What a lot of those goals show me is that we are just not organised well enough at the back. We've often got two or three times the players back as the other team have forward and yet they get space to score...
I saw a handful of keeping howlers, mainly Townsend's. Not one of the centre halves come out of it well either, with all three of em culpable at times. I saw no full back errors leading directly to goals, but did see both of em stood miles away from the action at times. Pearson and Scowen are easily outmuscled in midfield. Strikers/midfielders robbed of possession. It's just inept, pretty much to a man. However, look how many are goals conceded from crosses not dealt with, corners, set pieces etc. And if we're being honest, as bad as it's been this run of defeats, we've dominated at least half the games, yet concede under the tiniest bit of pressure. It's proper proper disheartening. The clues were there last season, and this summer, and are still there now. There is a lack of experience, character, leadership and manliness in that squad. They've top loaded it with ******* feeble, short arse kids who blow over int wind. And the supposed 'men' of the group are Jackson who dunt laik, Hammill who's a luxury, a playmaker... and Nyatanga who for all his strengths, has never been much of a leader or blokey bloke, has he? I mean, he's no Gerry Taggart. More of a Keith Brown. It must have been by design, this strategy, and the longer LJ remains in post despite defeat after defeat, the clearer it is that it's not Lee's strategy, and he's merely the head of coaching. He's been dropping hints in every recent interview that recruitment is not in his hands. However, he's still picking the shape, the tactics and team, so he's failing within this failure of a strategy. Build houses on it.
Wow, looking at those goals... It shows me the number 1 priority must be to learn how to deal much better with balls crossed into the box whether from free play or set pieces. Either that or stop the ball being crossed completely.. Nyatanga, Mawson and Roberts not stepping upto the plate at the moment. Judd seems to be in a poor run of form but he has no real challenges for that position.. Recent games his passing has deteriorated significantly, hesitation and eventually playing the same long ball down the left wing more than often for it to come stright back at us... If I were to bring a player in right now, I would be looking for an out of contract experienced centre half. Mawson would be stripped of the captaincy as well. Head went down when vale scored against us. Hammill was the one person on the pitch geeing the others up for a bit of fight...
Not sure we can take owt from that. Put together a video of the goals we conceded in the 96/97 season and that team will look *****. There'd be 55 of them to get through.
Someone on here last night suggested George Smith was costing us goals, saying all our goals conceded came from our left hand side. So I promised to put em all on one video and see. However, I did think it might give us a clue why we're struggling, to see em all in succession like. Turns out I now know we can't defend. Successful video upload. ***We've also conceded another 10 this season in cup games. So 39 in all comps. Safe.
Blocked in Germany. Always the case when I put blink-182 on em. Think that makes it blocked on certain mobile devices too, in this country. You're not missing much pal.
Lack of experience in the middle of the park Lack of organisation Lack of leadership Lack of urgency Lack of desire to get there first Lack of determination
This bloke was my scapegoat when I was a teenager and I knew everything, so I'll say him (even though I'm now old and know I know nowt!). <img src ="http://www.theposhtrust.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/Jim-Iley.jpg">
