    Having seen some of the plans for the town centre, how things got cut back, how good things change into mediocre things, and how long it's taken just to knock one building down, I'm not confident....and don't start me on the football.

    Exactly......promises promises..........one seems to reflect the other

    And both are vital for the wellbeing of Barnsley as a prosperous town.

    The football club to put the town on the map ........and the town centre to create a nice environment for people to visit

    They should make Steve Houghton and his cronies stand on Shambles Street and see how long it's taken a proper organisation to flatten one side of the street and almost complete the brand spanking new college campus

    Correct.....Houghton and co are and have been imo a monumental waste of a lot of time and a lot of money over the years.
