That was also the night that it was revealed that apparently we didn't know how to value John Stones, which led to much heated debate and speculation afterwards. Which I think took the spotlight away from Danny Wilson's sacking etc.
I would sooner them revert to being supporters and hand over the reigns to someone who can propel the club forward in a positive manner. I'm sure a different owner would ditch Johnson at the first opportunity.
On the recent stadium tour we were taken into the boardroom. No mate you misunderstand me, sorry I was typing quickly - I don't think there's anything to read into the fact that JPC was appointed and resigned on the same day - it was probably a procedural thing.
It was a real lesson in controlling the agenda of a meeting. That along with the John Stones stuff was a masterclass. Whilst many people disagreed with it at the time, that's the exact reason why I continued to question on James' involvement - basically, I didn't believe him. And I still don't.
I didn't believe either when he recently posted on Facebook that he wasn't the owner of Barnsley football club, that he was simply an investor not a director and his only involvement was supplying a document once a year to lawyers in Manchester saying he would invest for another twelve months and that other than getting his own car parking space he had as much involvement the running of barnsley fc as any other fan. Didn't he say he's never sacked a manager because it's not his job? Or something similar? I'm not trying to make up a quote but remember something in relation to it.
Correct. Wished I'd taken a shot of screen. He said he was not on the board and as such he had never appointed or sacked a manager. He said the board was Ben, Watkins and Taylor and they dealt with managers. His only involvement was to invest money. I don't believe him. And even the club refers to him as the owner. Such a strange situation Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
