Could someone tell me if I've missed it as it seems to have taken a while to type up the meeting with the board minutes?

You haven't missed it. Just takes quite a while to listen and constantly playback a near on three hour meeting.

We also told the club we'd send them the statement in advance to approve as certain things, as I hope you can imagine, are said off the record.

Whatever statement is made is clearly not a true representation of the real Barnsley supporters. A Quisling group totally
out of touch and in the laps of the management. I for one hold no respect for a group who don't ask the difficult questions. Long live the revolution!!!

I don't have to be at the meeting, seen it all before, seen the lack of activity by this group and the likes. They are not to be taken seriously, just lakies

The club tells representatives of the fans things they cannot relay to the very fans they represent? Please tell me what is the point in that?

It makes them feel all important because they feel like they're in the inner circle because they've been told something secret. So they then don't ask the important questions like why the **** is the club being allowed to sink ever deeper into the ****

I've followed BFC for 47 years and there has always been this "inside knowledge" culture as long as I can remember. "My Mam lives next door to the woman who looks after Danny Wilson's cat....." and all that! It seems that some of it persists even under the new regime of communications.

Look forward to seeing an account of what was said in due course Loko, but can I just ask: did you take any reassurance about the current situation from what was said?

yu have to laff....the club have to sign it off first ie remove anything contentious.

whats the point if you cannot report what was said......they might as well just put out a statement themselves and save all the trouble

    pointless

Not that I've got time to be replying to every post on here during the day when I'm meant to be working, but I can 100% say that this is not the case.

I feel far from important, or part of any inner circle, skiving work for four hours on a Friday to try and find out what the f*** we're doing about losing seven games on the bounce!

As for comments regarding the club signing off any statement or saying things off the record. That's only in regards to personal opinions that might have been aired in that meeting as oppose to the club not allowing us to report anything. Moutnains out of mole hills on here sometimes.

Was probably been too open when I should have just said 'the meeting was quite detailed and unsurprisingly it takes a fair bit of time to listen to a three hour meeting and pull out all the points the fans would be interested in', and left it at that.

I take reassurances from the fact we signed the lad from Rotherham yesterday, which was in line with the club saying they were looking to improve the squad with the right kind of experience.

I'll let you judge yourself when we finally get the statement out.

When do you expect the statement to be released

There's two reasons I don't bother getting into conversations with those at the club anymore...

1 - You're seen as in a gang, a 'better fan' and have to deal with wallies, when all you've set out to do is find out more information to hopefully benefit fellow supporters.

    and

2 - I would find it nigh on impossible to believe/trust them anymore, considering the events of the last couple of years.

Good luck to the trust in their efforts to get the truth, and please wallies.

Sorry but then club shouldn't be saying secret little comments to certain fans. If they have an opinion they are willing to share with you they should share it with everyone or keep their mouth shut. Otherwise thentrust loses credibility through no fault of its own, you lose objectivity through no fault of your own and the trust comes out of it looking like they're hiding something.

A SUPPORTERS trust statement should not be vetted before being released otherwise what is the point? Might as well just let Ben release a statement if he ornthe club is dictating what goes in it

I would be surprised if the details discussed with BFCST are any more open than that at the fans engagement forums. I've heard a lot at those and the club know I'll tweet a summary as soon as I get home. At the same time I don't tweet somethings when the club may have a comment about a certain individual or situation which may put the club in a difficult position.

It would be nice to think the club gave BFCST the freedom to make that judgement. They seem to do so at other events.
