    If I lived in the Shipley constituency and had kids at school I wouldn't be impressed if my MP was doing that. Disgrace!

    It's a retaliation to the House of Lords and how they sank a finance bill. It's petty, but it serves to further illustrate how in need of reform the parliamentary system is.

    Oh aye, all about electoral reform the Tories. I'll look forward to proportional representation, votes for 16 year olds and an elected second chamber some time soon then

    The Tory/Lib Dem coalition held a proportional representation referendum, it was rejected. And the Tories would like a reformed second chamber more than anyone right now after the tax credit changes were blocked, but then they were accused of being undemocratic for suggesting that the Lords was no longer fit for purpose.

    No they didn't, they had an alternative vote referendum, and the Tories even argued against that
