He's only there temporarily, for sure Labour can't be daft enough to let him lead them into a general election.

There's no consensus in the field of international geopolitical experts on extremism, middle east history, counterinsurgency, or politics on how to resolve Syria, let alone IS. Even the military are completely divided. Daily Mail columnist Max Hastings advocated Corbyn's position on QT this week.

Yet posters on the BBS, furnished with virtually no understanding or information, are stating with absolute certainty the solution is to bomb everyone and boots on the ground is the solution.

    Right.

Maybe Labour members and supporters should be allowed to make that decision. Rather than people who proclaim they'd never vote Labour anyway or the parliamentary party that's stuffed full of years worths of handpicked Blairite who are unrepresentative of the majority of Labour supporters.

He wants a peaceful settlement of the Syrian civil war. That would stop ISIS in their tracks.

He also wants to stop their sources of funding.

Don't let the truth get in the way though

If Jihadi John had been captured and brought back to a UK jail. He would have lived in better conditions than some of us. Not to mention the ability to radicalise other prisoners. The man is a joke but what I find sad is that some follow him believing in him.

Giving them a martyrs death is what they want.

Letting them live out their lives in prison isn't.

Well I think we need Mr. Blair's advice on this as he apparently is the authority on Middle East affairs, gets a nice salary for it so I guess it must be true. He told me confidentially that ISIS cannot be separated from the so called civil war in Syria, which surprisingly does not include just one rebel group but a multitude of them, all with their own agenda, of which ISIS is just another one of them. So logically to say that the only solution is negotiation must include negotiating with ISIS. Is this not evident to any thinking person?

End the civil war and thus isolate them. Cut off their sources of weapons and money.

Stop bombing innocent civilians and leaving ruined countries behind us and stop ISIS recruitment
