And all I can say is johnson got away with murder with the result!

First half was good, we attacked and looked a real threat, but in the second half this stopped and we decided to defend.

The game completely changed when Aidy White went off and Smith come on. No coincidence is it?

We deserved the win without a doubt, purely based on the chances we had in the first half. We managed to get the winner late on, but as I say, Johnson got out of jail.

The game changed way before our Smithy came on for that Rotherham reserve player. It changed when they put 2 up top at half time.

So the Rotherham reserve winger wasn't good playing out of position at fullback

He's a fullback no matter how many times you say he isn't. All my Leeds mates remember him as an attacking fullback. Because that's where he played.

Sorry, but im a little bit puzzled. If we were really good, attacked and looked a real threat in the first half, and we deserved a win without a doubt based on chances, how is that getting away with murder ?

Not sure how I'm contradicting myself? I've explained that we played well in the first half, but as a result of negative play in the second half and Oldham equalising, we could think ourselves slightly lucky that we managed to get a last minute winner.

He's played as a full back at Rotherham.

Counter that with how many times we have battered teams (Crewe at home is a good example) and lost out to the only two times the opposition got into our penalty area. Football is like that isn't it - you never know what is going to happen until the last seconds. This is why I never give up hope if we are losing and never feel comfortable if we are winning 2-1.

I don't care how "lucky" the manager was. His team did the business yesterday, and did it very well from what I heard on the commentary and have seen in the highlights. I know that's not the same as being there but I think it was a more than fair result.

We weren't lucky yesterday. Over the course of the game we deserved to win. Oldham had a spell where they came back into it, you'd expect that - but we hit the post, bar and had numerous other good chances. We were the better side - the better side winning isn't getting out of jail.

No idea how anyone watching could blame Smith. The goal we conceded came down the opposite flank and the boy put in the ball that got our second goal.

It was hardly likely we were going to get through a game yesterday and completely steam roller the opposition. Given our terrible form and obvious lack of confidence it's no surprise that they had a bit of a go. But you're picking fault when there's none to be picked - if we'd got that result on the back of a decent bit of form everyone would be saying it's a professional job. Can only imagine you were one of those shouting Johnson out before a ball had been kicked.

He has never been a winger to my knowledge my mates who support leeds tell me he is a full back and always has been. Don't know where you get that he is a winger from

Really doubt we didn't deserve the win or got away with murder if as someone said in another thread even Oldham fans were saying we deserved the win, but I wasn't there so who knows.

I think more likely mr pudding just woke up with a stonking hangover and didn't realise we were having a nice weekend of positivity on here (in general)

He played on the wing for Rovrum a couple of weeks ago, against Derby.

His wiki page describes him as a left back or left winger, and goes on to describe him playing on the left and right wings during his career. Here's the link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aidan_White_(footballer)

And upon signing for Rovrum this summer, in this article he's described as a left midfielder.

It was about time we had a little bit of good luck on our side.
