My green bin's knackered. The lid disappeared during the last collection and it's split down each side. I can collect a new one from Smithies Lane free of charge, but what do I do with the old one? Doesn't say owt on the council website.

I was told I wouldn't get a new one unless I took the old one back - but then I was the only one who seemed to be taking it back.

Yes it's ridiculous that the Council don't take on the cost of delivering your new, free bin. They should take the old one away for nowt too. And sweep your yard while they are there.
