Asda knocked 4p a litre off until Midnight Sunday.

    So 99.7p in Tarn.

    For anyone interested like.

Just read Morrisons 98p this weekend if you spend £40 in store.

Explained the queues. For me pence difference doesn't matter as lots of factors from driving habits to road conditions affect consumption. And more you put in the tank, say fill it up, the more petrol you use carrying that weight around. I usually put enough in (from almost empty) to get to about half the tank at most.

Letting your tank as low as nearly empty will suck all the **** from the bottom of the tank into your fuel system

But I do get your point you are carrying more weight when full

I usually let it go down to a 1/4 fill to 3/4

I don't see the point, if you have a 50 litre tank, the difference in weight at half full is 25 kg. it would hardly have any effect on petrol consumption. As already said, you also drag up all the gunge from the bottom, which would mean changing filters more often and by running low you fill the tank with fumes; in extreme heat like we get here there have been some cars on fire because of this. No chance of that there I suppose tho.

And folk say it's a myth about dregs of a fuel tank. Petrol was refined to high standards a long time ago

I used to leave £5 worth of diesel in my car all the time just for the commute to work, never had a problem with fuel filters, etc.

In pounds how much would the price per litre of petrol in Dubai work out at when you buy it? Liking the size of the crowd yesterday for the cricket international. Mentioned it was first day of the weekend out there. Do most people work like 8-10-12 hour shifts monday to thursday to get an extra day?

    About 20p a litre here.

We work Sunday to Thursday, Friday is weekend for us, hence the attendance
