as the whingers whinge about the manager at least they're not whinging about the scoreboard or the pies or the car-parking. One question for them - who would they like to see replace LJ - who would make them happy?
Chris Powell or Stuart Grey would be my first choice... But Mark Cooper will be given the job the one that has a similar play style to LJ.
I honestly don't know. Outside of Barnsley I don't tend to follow much lower league football because the quality is poor. Much rather watch the premiership or Barca or the Madrid clubs. But I'd expect someone on our board to have a good knowledge of the lower leagues & appoint a suitable candidate
Are you seriously suggesting there's no-one out there who could do better than 24th in League One, below the likes of Blackpool, Crewe, Shrewsbury, Fleetwood, Colchester et al?
The OP keeps coming on slating fans who are quite rightly extremely concerned about our precarious league position, abysmal performances and scattergun tactics. Apparently we're in the wrong and being bottom of the third division is quite acceptable. The mind boggles.
Sadly I think the word 'uncompromising' is an oxymoron so I can't answer your question. More to the point MK - can you answer mine - who replaces LJ?
I'm no expert on lower league football but there are currently 23 managers doing a better job in our league alone. I'd certainly take a look at Gray and Cooper but if I was running the club then Mr Wilson would also be on my short list.
A good question given that the handful who moan on here incessantly have always moaned about everything. It's the same boring story. Would love to know who they would accept and get behind. I have backed LJ up to now, but bottom of the table is unacceptable, full stop. Don't care if he is a nice guy and has fan meetings etc. He doesn't seem to know how to get us out of this crisis. Even with the players we have, we should be mid table. In my view LJ has had a fair crack of the whip, so it's time for change but that needs to go hand in hand with changes at the top. Either someone else running the club (we can dream) or a change of strategy and a sprinkling of quality such as Adam hamill. I don't trust LJ with the January window and any stones windfall money. Just hope to god we keep hourihane and hamill. Not fussed about the rest.
My answer? You. Or me. Or anybody else because it is impossible to be worse than the incompetent currently sat in the manager's chair. Sorry - head coach's chair.
Stuart Gray would be lovely. Nicky Eaden would at least have passion and seems knowledgeable. mark Cooper. To be fair a management committee of me, my 3 year old and next doors cat couldn't do any worse than Johnson and I'm not one of the serial whingers.
