    Problem with cursor - sort of jerks about - takes alot of manouvering to get it to the right place.

    Laptop 6 years old - do they wear out and need binning or can they be serviced.

    Where's best place to buy replacement.

    are you using the touch pad

    try using a mouse, they make some quite small ones for laptops now... cordless too. I always have used a mouse with my lap tops.

    Sounds like its past its sell by date.

    Where have I heard that one before ?

    Pc World or if you know what spec you want have a browse online.

    Stupid advice. Unless you can tell him the exact laptop to replace it with you have no right to tell him to get rid
