Davies had a defender protecting him too which shows just how weak as piss we really are

If we were hopeless and without any chance of improvement I would agree. But it's funny what a couple of wins can do. We could be top six by the end of January :D

    Correct ST. Summed up succinctly.

The pseudo intelligent monologues on here seem to ignore the fact that we are bottom of the league with a manager who keeps making the same selection errors week in and out. By the time January comes we may well be even further in the relegation mire as little is happening under this manager to suggest different.

The task of avoiding relegation may be almost insurmountable by then and which high calibre players are going to want to sign for us under those circumstances.

Other teams aren't hopeless with no sign of recovery either. Relegation is the most likely, but not certain, outcome of our current league position. FACT.

In fact that's probably the only time fact has ever been uses correctly in here

If we wanted everything to be roses, we wouldn't be watching Barnsley would we.

I have seen worse than this.... much worse. I'm not enjoying it much, but I was not made any promises when introduced to the team by my dad. I took it on for life, for better and for worse.

At the minute, its like being on the Wednesday forum after every game. No backbones some of them.

Sorry, not with you on that one. I expect no one to "align with my views". I just say what I think, as do you.

Mike,as you know my seat was empty yesterday and got to admit while ever LJ, as you seem to have got obsessed with initials, or Coco as I prefer to call him, is insitu, not in charge, it will be empty a fair few more times. You've gone into an in depth destruction of these lads' current careers, without once mentioning the major, major reason. We all know this is a squad ram packed full of young lads from various levels of the game, who came here expecting Johnson and his staff to help nurture and progress their carreers. Unfortunately when they've signed they've discovered that Johson is a Bullshitter par extraordinaire, without a clue how to affect these young lads as he no doubt promised them he would as a result most of them will have to work like demons to get back to where they were before Johnson got his hands into them. The top and bottom, Mike, is we have a squad, the majority of which would walk in to most clubs teams at this level, some higher and the one glaringly obvious they won't is Lee Johnson. He is the man most fitted to dragging the club back down to the black days of 1965.

Ah well, we'll have to agree to differ on that then. I'm not saying Lee Johnson is the best coach or manager that we could get, or have ever had. But he is the one we have right now and I don't see what good it would do to sack him. Maybe that will happen anyway and Burton/Heckingbottom will step in again and steady the ship. Who knows.

It's a shame he gets so much abuse from people on here. You'll never get me calling him a moron, or Coco the clown, or anything like it. He's an honest professional trying to get it right. We might not like people learning their trade at Oakwell but that's the way it is at the moment. We aren't going down, whatever happens. This isn't a Johnny Steele or a John McSeveney-style relegation team. They've lost their way for now. The club might not be doing all the right things but the important thing is that they are still in business.

Things will get better and whether I am travelling 27 miles or 200 miles for a match I will keep on doing that.

devante Cole for all his faults was an excellent foil for Winnall and linked well with Conor so a player with pace and athleticism to partner Winnall. Can't be bothered with the daft arguments sorry.

Yes I wish we could have held on to him but, to be honest, he faded a bit towards the end of his time. Perhaps he thought he had done enough to impress his parent club so couldn't wait to get back. All went wrong for him though.

I can't be bothered with daft arguments either by the way. No one has to read posts on here if they don't want to so all this stupidity is just unnecessary. I write what I write, often without thinking about it first. It's just instinctive. If people click like or thanks then great, and I appreciate the fact that people have enjoyed my reports . If people respond with stupid banners then that's fine too.

I'm no worse nor better than anyone else who goes to watch Barnsley. I've just been doing it for a lot longer than some, and less time than others. That just makes me a life long fan, not a "proper fan". I would go and watch them play in the Conference North. I'm hoping to move to Harrogate soon so it would be nice to see them playing at Wetherby Road :) (that was a joke by the way!)

Yes not aimed at you I enjoy your optimism even if I don't always share it.

Agree about Cole and that ship has sailed but it seems obvious to me the typ of forward who would be ideally suited to play with Winnall as per RRs comments. I think Danny had highlighted the type of player first with Cole then with the useless (as it turned out) Kiyomya.

I'll wager a guess that most people can see this is an ultra young squad of players a lot if whom have been entrusted to Coco by their parent clubs to further their education and experience, we can all imagine what reports are going back to these clubs and what their reaction if God forbid Coco's still here in January, will be should he go grovelling trying to borrow further players. I've nit got potentially many more seasons to watch our team and I just hope and pray this clown won't be my last memory of them.

For Pearson read Scowen, I find very little to get positive about Pearson. If they said he could go back I'd drive him back myself.

Too many sideways runs and sideways balls going nowhere. It;'s driving me insane.
