Anyone who thinks that he is capable of turning things round after the appalling run and clear demonstrations of poor tactics and man management are for me helping to ruin this club of ours. Every one is entitled to a opinion but the facts are clear to see for everyone that he is not cut out to be a manager but is more than capable of ruining Barnsley Football club of which the board and Mansfords ego are clearly what they want by not pulling the trigger. In addition, when John Stones is sold In january... would you really want Johnson to spend some of that money.. i would not .
I just want him to go and our barnsley back if we go down could be years before we are back see pompey,Bradford, Plymouth ect could drop even further like trannere, Stockport, Luton, donny Get rid off this clown and get someone who knows what they are doing.
While I partly agree with you. I don't think Lee Johnson is the overall problem at the club. Look at managers that have left us. Hill, Flitcroft, Mellon, Robins. They all seem to be doing a decent job elsewhere with less funds than we have available. The problem is higher up IMO and I don't think it will be solved anytime soon, with or without Lee Johnson.
For the record, Johnson isn't the manager, he is the head coach. It could also be argued that 4 points from the last 3 is a significant improvement over 8 defeats on the trot. That does not mean that I disagree with you (or not), just being a pedant.
I support Barnsley FC. And whilst I think Johnson is failing, no matter who decided the strategy or signed the players, I don't think he's ruining the club. I find that a bit over the top like. It is possible for him to just be failing, despite trying his best/hardest. There's really no need to make grandiose statements like that.
I'm confused... As to why people think Johnson would waste a load of money. How many players has he 'bought' as a manager/head coach for any meaningful fee? There is absolutely no evidence I can see that suggest he would recruit permanent players badly. It's just another stick to beat him with. You can't really use the loans as an example as there are far more limitations on loan deals; one being that most are either unfit or inexperienced. He might waste it, but then again many of our managers have. Who can we say has recruited well as our manager overall? Wilson maybe.
Problem is that there are grey areas all over the place when forming opinions on BFC at the moment. Not wanting LJ sacked doesn't mean that anyone with such a view supports the demise of the club. Neither does wanting him sacked make you a sneerer or a hater. I'd make a change based purely on performances and results, not just this season, but from the last 10 games of last season plus the fact we are now rock bottom of the third division. I fear that giving him until Jan will see our position worsened to the point that we will need a Flicker-esque escape and no credible talent will consider joining a team at the foot of the division. I've been wrong about thousands of things in the past though and I truly hope that I'm wrong about LJ if he sticks around.
That's your second, consecutive, daft post. And, yes, I do think LJ is capable of turning it round - I'm not daft enough to guarantee it, like.
