You will have more luck aligning with the sun dial in my garden especially on a day like today !

Credit to the few on here who are optimistic and think Johnson will turn things round, you've more patience than most (me included).

But it increasingly bears a resemblance to the following:

I fear you're fighting a losing battle here, Prince. You're outnumbered on here as the majority of SUPPORTERS don't come on here to vent their spleen every time someone misplaces a pass.

The fact is that what people write on here won't make a jot of difference to what happens on the pitch so let's us supporters, support and leave the moaning and groaning to the realists.

I always find it very strange when people support failures!
But as folk say on here often enough it's ones choice.

I've paid for a season ticket, was at Coventry, millwall and pboro on tuesday nights and will vocally support the team when they're on the pitch no matter how poorly they're playing.

However, I and lots of others like to let off some steam on here when we're not performing, let alone bottom of the third tier. I also enjoy (and much prefer) praising our team when they play well, which they've not done of late. Am I not a supporter on that basis?

Can't be too harsh on him when he's only 8 matches behind equalling the goal scoring record of Jamie Vardy :D Out of curiousity what is the record for one of our players scoring in consecutive matches or just league matches for us.....

I fear you're missing my point.

I don't question your (or anyone's) credulity as a supporter but thanks for listing your A-Star credentials.

My point to Prince is that most folk who are of a similar opinion to him don't bother coming on here. The majority of posts on here are negative, is that not true? Even when we've won this season, we haven't won convincingly enough or, we employed the wrong tactics or picked the wrong team and got lucky.

So when he says he's looking forward to the next match because he sees positives in our recent performances, he's outnumbered immediately because as my point above states, if folk are on here, there's a very good chance they're on here because they want to post something negative.

    Fair enough.

I do though doubt there are many who share his optimism away from this board. It's disheartening to see so much negativity on here, I get that, but we're bottom of the third tier. Below (with the greatest of respect) Crewe, Fleetwood, Shrewsbury, Burton, Walsall, Rochdale, and many others with much fewer resources than us. How can you expect most supporters to be anything other than negative about that? Every time I think we might have turned a corner with a game we've been unlucky to lose, we go and put in a poor performance in the next one.
I respect everyone's opinions on here and commend those who are staying positive, but you must understand why there's such overwhelming negativity.

there is negativity on here cos we're utter shlte and bottom of the league...then Mr Johnson comes out and sez how well we played, how unlucky we were and we are going to go on a good run ffs.

happy clappers like PoR may get annoyed by us realists but us realists are aghast how anyone can fall for such bullshlte.

swings and roundabouts folks...free country n all that.

I understand why. Of course I do. It can't be hidden that we're bottom of League 1.

However I'm simply saying that those who choose to remain upbeat and optimistic such as Prince and myself, would spend their time better than to try to convince others that it isn't as bad as they make out. Let them think it's worst thing in the history of the club and we're being dragged into the doldrums for all eternity, it won't make a blind bit of difference what anyone thinks. Que sera, sera.

I've always believed the BBS is the perfect medium for a fan to vent their spleen through anger and sheer frustration, I've done it myself often enough. However, even after what I thought was a dreadful display on Saturday, on the back of the worse run I've ever seen as a supporter, I remain optimistic we'll pull ourselves out of this current mess. Call it blind faith, ignorance, stupidity or whatever, I don't care.:D
Simply avoiding relegation would be regarded as abject failure for this season, though, as far as I'm concerned.
